9 weeks 4 days update

Yesterday I had a check up with my OB, she got a good look at our little baby and we have a due date the 28th of February, exactly a month after Harpers 2nd birthday.

The upside to me being so sick is that I have had a scan each week, I get to see how quickly our baby is growing and see the heartbeat every.single.week. I'm so luckily the first 3 months can be terrifying.

Last night in bed I was thinking about what it was like the first few months after the baby is born, I hadn't really thought about how hard it is and how much your up during the night. Those first few months are such a blur I found I forgot a lot of what it was really like.

I'm scared and excited all at once.

People have babies far closer than me, i'll be fine right?

I'm having trouble finding a nick name for this little baby, we called Harps, Jelly bean. JB for short everyone called him JB, it felt so right we worried we wouldn't be able to call him anything but. Of course we did.

I would love some suggestions from you guys of cute nick names for our baby!

  1. It will be really great having them 2 years apart! They'll be able to play together!! You could nickname the new baby "peanut" or "gummy bear"

  2. I second the nickname "peanut"! So cute!

Have you tried these for your sickness? I've heard great things about them (I was very lucky when I was pregnant with Ellie and I didn't get sick at all. I am crossing my fingers that the same is true whenever we get pregnant with our 2nd)...

  3. Sorry...I don't have any name suggestions (having a difficult time over here myself). And thinking about those days/weeks/months after delivery can be terrifying! I started panicing too, but we've done it before, we can do it again!
