Blog friends

Do you think it's funny the way we blog about our life's? Do you feel like you know Harper and I? Maybe you would con-sitter us friends. I know I feel like I know several people through there blogs, you get such an insight into someone's life through reading a blog, I've found it an amazing place to get advice, I love that I have the best baby book out there and I
really enjoy reading other blogs, there are many ups to having a blog but lately I've also noticed allot of downs... I don't understand why people steal photos or posts! What's with that? I guess we have to realize we are posting our life on the net, So when faced with this problem do we stop blogging, watermark and disable right click? If a person wants a photo they will find a way. I guess I'm just wondering why? What do they gain through this? So far I've been lucky enough not to come across this with my own blog but I see it happing more and more and it scares me, it makes me not want to share my son. I would love to hear your thoughts on this matter, if faced with it how you dealt with the problem and any tricks to avoid it happening again.

  1. I can totally understand how you wouldn't want our son posted on other sites or blogs without your knowing. I haven't even had my son yet, and I'm already so protective over him. maybe try putting an insignia on it somewhere. that works sometimes!

  2. i feel like you gotta live your life and hope for the best. I wont let fear run my life. I know it would suck to have someone steal from me but i guess that's the highest form of flattery? i guess we should be watermarkering our photos.

  3. That would stink. :( Although, I guess it's just a chance we take when blogging. Maybe try putting a copyright on your page?

Anyway...I love the photos on this post! So cute!

  4. It's a really scary thing to know that people are out there, just waiting to steal what is not theirs. I'm in the process of putting a copyright on my page and also, I am going to start putting a small watermark on all my pictures. It takes time, and it's a drag, but...it's worth it. Soak up some sun for us!

I say... don't let it get to you. Atleast no one is staking you. ;)

  6. I've been more concerned about people putting stuff on my blog. Imagine my surprise to find someone went and posted links to my blog with viagra ads and they were sneaky putting it on very old posts on my blog. So, now I monitor all comments posted on my site, but I guess people will find a way to steal no matter what you do! I think you should just make it as difficult as possible and they might move on to another site! The alternative is not blogging or blogging without any photos and I'm not keen on either!
